Friday, March 12, as every year since 1481, will celebrate the feast of San Gimignano Santa Fina. At 18 there will be the celebration of Holy Mass with the presence of municipal authorities at the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta. All day in the Piazza del Duomo and Piazza Cisterna takes place the next fair of local products.
As is often erroneously reported, Santa Fina is the patron saint of the city of towers and it was only ever beatified and canonized. The patron of the city is San Gimignano of the same name that is celebrated on January 31.
